Physician with more than two decades of clinical and healthcare-management experience, combining family and emergency medicine with certified complementary therapies such as acupuncture, ozone therapy and hypnotherapy.
About Drs. Özkan
Drs. L. Özkan graduated from Cumhuriyet University Faculty of Medicine in 2001 and has since worked across primary care, emergency services and private clinics. He holds a PhD in Anatomy from Dokuz Eylül University (2006) and a PhD in Medical Biochemistry from Ege University (2025).
Alongside clinical practice he has held senior management roles in district and provincial health directorates, led family health centers and emergency units, and has served as an auditor of family health centers, private hospitals and medical centers on behalf of the Ministry of Health. He chaired the Izmir Family Physicians Association and represented the Sivas & Erzincan Medical Chamber at the Turkish Medical Association.
His integrative approach is built on certified training in acupuncture, ozone therapy, hypnotherapy, cupping, hirudotherapy, apitherapy and visceral manual therapy. He has also completed Basic Life Support (Nederlandse Reanimatie Raad) and venipuncture / peripheral IV training in the Netherlands (2026).
